What is dowsing?

Dowsing is the ancient art of obtaining intuitive information with the aid of a device which acts as an amplifier and/or validator. Dowsing techniques have been used over time in many cultures, modern and ancient, dating back 8000-9000 years. Dowsing is also called divining, doodlebugging, questing, and water-witching.
